Our second collaboration with Pedro Camacho

Posted By: admin on April 8, 2008 in News

Pedro Camacho is a very talented music composer. This year was his breakthrough year after being the winner of IGF 2008 (with Audiosurf) and the composer of the successful Fury.

Already among Pedro’s greatest fans after the wonderful collaboration we had in Days of Sail, we really had no other option but to work with him again for our second game, CrimeCity.

CrimeCity’s score contains three music tracks:

Sirens of Hope, the main menu track, is bold and menacing, yet at times can be playful or even melancholic.

Chasing rats, is the action score that accompanies the gameplay. The percussive sounds throughout this score add magnificently to the prominent noiresque style of the game, perfectly matching the pace of the gameplay.

But Pedro also knows well how to compose melodic themes in-between that are strong enough to compel the listener to press the repeat button. My Hometown, the melodic piece that rus through the tutorial mode is a perfect example of a more laid back and more subtle cue with a change of pace from the pounding action music.

All in all, the new CrimeCity soundtrack is a true orchestral score that is guaranteed to put you in the mood of the game. Check out the three inspiring tracks at the game’s website.

Thanks once again Pedro for this magnificent piece of work, wishing for more to come!

Do you feel the heat? CrimeCity is finally released to all major game sites across the globe.

Finally, Crime Chasing Doesn’t Get Much Spicier Than This!

We are proud to unveil Crime City, a brand-new crime chasing game for the Windows platform. The story involves around a big city filled with criminals. Crime in the city must be controlled and, should it get out of hand, be dealt with swiftly. Therefore, an elite police unit is created. This taskforce consists of Policemen in their cars trained in high speed pursuit and motorized urban tactics whose mission is to intervene rapidly and intercept any and all threats to the public before any harm be done. These policemen take their orders from YOU. You are the only line between order and anarchy. Take command of this elite police unit and let no one cross it.Crime City is a Fast Paced Point & Click Casual game in which speed and strategy are important. The rounds usually last no more than a few minutes each but there is a great deal of strategy buried in the game play.

This spring the winners will be players who love urban chasing bad guys - Mr. Michael Takakis, Sales Director, said. With Crime City we are opening the new product line that, as we believe, will be popular with anyone seeking Casual games with Real Time Strategy flavour. Crime City is not all about races and shooting, it’s an “urban hunting” game where players “hunt” for adventure on the city’s streets. This is an action-packed game with lots of challenges, realistic 3D graphics and ambient effects that will give players a good shot of adrenaline! Mr Michael Takakis continued.

Full review in PC Master [vol.211]

Greek magazine PC-Master has a very favourable review of Days of Sail at its May, 2007 issue!“If you are daydreamers and you love simulations, then this game is a must for your collection. It’s a game made by Greeks with a good taste. As we all know, Greece is surrounded by the sea. Our islands, the clear blue sky and the mediterranean climate which remains the same throughout the year are some of the big advantages of our country. PC-Master front cover

That’s why most of the tourists choose us. Most of them know about our country’s most beautifull places more than we Greeks do. So they try to visit us in every way possible. One of the most popular ways is sailing. With this game we have the chance to explore some of the most famous sailing routes and to learn how to sail small sailing boats.

When loading Days of Sail for the first time, we are confronted with a magnificent introduction. With a wonderful Aegean sunset at the horizon, soft music in the background, we are transported to a world of peace and tranquility. The game is addressed to both novice and experienced sailing enthusiasts. For novice users, there exists a detailed manual with the most important sailing terms. I suggest that you begin from here, so that you can learn all details about the wind and the sails positions. There is also ingame help.

Pedro Camacho: composer of Days of Sail

Posted By: admin on March 3, 2007 in News

I got acquainted with Pedro Camacho’s work from the Indie Gamer Forums. I was immediately blown away by the music of this talented young composer and gave him a call. Pedro was excited to work with us, composing not one, but two inspiring themes for the game.

We had a flawless and truly inspirational cooperation for a couple of weeks. Pedro caught the mood of the game immediately and composed a soundtrack that really brought a very different and fresh perspective to the game while keeping at the same time its sentimental force and high production value.

We are looking forward to working with Pedro again in our future projects!
